Alzheimer's Weekly LLC recognizes and maintains a distinct separation between advertising and sponsored content and editorial content. All Advertising, promotional, sponsored or marketing content on the Alzheimer's Weekly LLC Network will be clearly and unambiguously identified. For example, advertisements are distinguished by the word "Advertisement" and sponsored links by the phrase "Sponsored Links." All product ads from Amazon.com contain a "Privacy Policy" link that explains their affiliate relationship with this site, and an Amazon.com logo and price tag that distinguish their boxes as advertisements All advertisements follow one of the following form:
- Advertising banners along the margins of a page. These are clearly marked with the word “Advertisement” beneath each banner.
- A directory of dementia products and services is provided. The listings in the directory are generally free. A listing can be sponsored in order to be placed in a better position, such as higher up in a list or in the top corner of a page. When this occurs, the top of the listing will say, “Sponsored by”, “Brought to you by” or “Courtesy of”.
- Amazon.com banners and search boxes appear throughout the site, placed where they can offer convenience to readers by allowing them to easily purchase relevant products. These banners are clearly marked with the universally recognized “Amazon.com” logo.
- A click on an Advertisement may only link the end user to the third-party advertiser’s site or to relevant sponsored content area on a Alzheimer's Weekly LLC Site.
- Alzheimer's Weekly LLC retains the exclusive right to determine how any and all search results for specific information by keyword or topic are displayed on any Alzheimer's Weekly LLC Site. Alzheimer's Weekly LLC search results are not influenced based on monetary incentives provided by Advertisers or Sponsors.
- While third party (sponsor produced) content must adhere to this Advertising Policy, we additionally label information from our Sponsors to help our end users understand the differences between Alzheimer's Weekly LLC content and Sponsored content.
- As described in the "Ads by Google" hyper link in the Ads by Google section on our Alzheimer's Weekly LLC Network of Sites Search pages, these "Ads by Google" are listings that have been purchased by companies that want to have links to their sites appear adjacent to search results in response to specific terms. Alzheimer's Weekly LLC may receive payment from Google in connection with displaying the sponsored link results on the Alzheimer's Weekly LLC Network of Sites. If Sponsored Content appears in the search results, it is labeled as "Alzheimer's Weekly LLC Sponsor" or "Information from Industry" so that users can make informed decisions about the content they wish to view.
- Alzheimer's Weekly LLC reserves the right to reject, cancel, or remove at any time any Advertising from the Alzheimer's Weekly LLC Network for any reason and will provide prompt notice to the advertiser upon rejection, cancellation, or removal of any Advertising, together with an explanation following the rejection, cancellation, or removal.
