Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at the University of Pittsburgh
For patients and families affected by most types of dementia, including Alzheimer's, the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) offers:
- Diagnosis and medical management
- Information about the disease, services, and resources.
- Opportunities for volunteers to participate in drug trials, support groups, clinical research projects, and other special programs for volunteers and their families.
ADRCs are sponsored by the US government's National Institutes of Health. Some ADRCs have satellite facilities which offer diagnostic and treatment services and research opportunities in underserved, rural, and minority communities.
