My husband suffers from Pick disease and as it has progressed has fallen and had seizures. Given that he is 6'6" tall it is difficult to get him off the floor. I have a hoyer lift however the slings are virtually impossible to get positioned with no assistance from the patient. I recently bought a Hunter Safety System tree stand vest and it works perfectly with my lift. Incredibly well made - will hold up to 300 pounds and simple to use and position. Just wanted to share in case there are others experiencing the same thing. The tree stand safety vest can be purchased from a sports store. I bought mine at Academy Sports and it is the best $99 I have ever spent.

Hi Westie,
I am impressed at your ingenuity -- it just goes to show that necessity truly is the mother of invention, I guess.
But I don't understand how you are using the vest, and exactly which one you are recommending; I Googled the vest you mentioned, and saw a whole bunch of them -- also it was not clear how you would use any of the ones I saw. Can you be a little more specific?
Thanks much for the tips! There are a number of folks who often have to manage alone, and this will undoubtedly help make someone's life easier. Hoping you have a great weekend,
Ann
