What does it actually feel like when one has some form of dementia? Four millennials with dementia in their families find out in a real, visceral way on a special tour. (Video)

Dementia is the sixth highest cause of death in the United States, but few people truly understand what their loved ones are going through as they are afflicted by the disease. Four young women with family members who have some form of dementia decided to find out through the Virtual Dementia Experience, a 10-minute simulation of what dementia really feels like. Two family caregivers turned advocates are their “tour guides.”

The Virtual Dementia Experience “tour” is created and sponsored by the Second Wind Dreams organization.
