The first drugs for Alzheimer’s disease emerged in the 1990s. Since then, however, there has been a wave of clinical trial failures and major companies pulling resources from neuroscience R&D, but also progress, as research continues its inexorable march forward to create better therapies.

Monoclonal antibodies have emerged as important new treatment options, and are garnering significant excitement. This video showcases drug development efforts for Alzheimer’s leading up to current success stories.
