If a person or their carer expresses concern about cognitive changes, my hope is that they are able to get screening with more extensive neuropsych testing as indicated to confirm diagnosis.
Great explanation. Doctors would do their patients a great service to explain this. I am 65 and have memory issues. However, I do not have any functional problems yet. I say that because my father had dementia. I do not know what it looks like. My family wanted me to go get checked, and my doctor did a routine test in the office, but I never heard back from him on this issue.
