My wife first visited her neurologist in 2002 with a beginning of memory loss. She is in stage seven and has been under hospice care for over a year. She is still alive because I have kept her home with care 24/7. I have used Care.com and have had over 275 women apply for a position with her care. However, I served on four hospital boards with helping the budgeting for research and found that it takes a special care giver to live in my home and see that my wife is getting compassion and common sense from the care givers. Our team leader has 27 years in Alzheimer's care and the team all follow her leadership. We are married going on 69 years and she is awake less than eight hours a day. Just showing what unconditional love can do for an Alzheimer's patient.

It is a place where we separate out the wheat from the chaffe, the important articles & videos from each week’s river of news. With a new post on Alzheimer’s or dementia appearing on the internet every 7 minutes, the site’s focus on the best information has been a help to many over the past 15 years. Thanks to our many subscribers for your supportive feedback.

The site is dedicated to all those preserving the dignity of the community of people living with dementia.
