Thought of the Week: Love Outshines Dementia

Love is a feeling that dementia cannot take away.

There is one thing dementia cannot take away,
And that is love.
Love is not a memory –
It is a feeling that resides inside.

Very true my mum used to say to us “I don’t know who you are but I love you”

I work in a dementia area in an aged care facility and I agree with this statement. People with dementia forget peoples name or memories but not their feelings.
